StyleFinder — Privacy Policy

StyleFinder is a browser extension that builds a coordinated, mix-and-match capsule wardrobe from live marketplace listings (currently eBay), tailored to your chosen style, size, and budget. This policy explains what we collect and why.

What we collect

• Account info — when you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile (name, avatar) to create your account.
• Your preferences — the style, gender, sizes/measurements, budget, and options you choose, plus any capsules you save.
• Anonymized usage — which recommended items you keep, swap, remove, or save, used to improve our recommendations. This is tied to your account id, not to your name or email.
• Feedback you send us — if you use the in-app feedback form, we store the message you write and, only if you choose to add it, an email address for follow-up. We also attach basic context to help us reproduce issues: the app version, the style/occasion you were viewing, the screen you were on, and an anonymous session id (which lets us tie the report to that session's activity). We never collect your eBay account, passwords, or browsing history.

We do not collect payment information; purchases happen on the marketplace (eBay) under its own terms.

How we use it

Solely to provide and improve the styling feature — building your capsule, remembering your preferences and saved looks, and making future recommendations better. We do not sell your data.

Third parties we use

• eBay — to search live listings and open items you choose. Outbound links may carry affiliate tracking, which can earn us a commission at no cost to you.
• OpenAI — to generate custom styles and "ask the stylist" suggestions from the text you enter.
• Supabase & Google — for sign-in and secure storage of your account, preferences, and saved capsules.

Storage & retention

Your account data and saved capsules are stored in our database (Supabase). Some preferences and your last capsule are also cached locally in your browser via the extension's storage. We retain data while your account is active.

Your choices & deletion

You can sign out at any time, and you can remove saved capsules from within the extension. To request deletion of your account data, contact us at the email below.

Children

StyleFinder is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the date above.
